On August 28, the inaugural Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) Coffee Industry Expo grandly opened at the GBA (Guangdong · Huizhou) Green Agricultural Products Production and Supply Base. Themed "Standards Leading, Coffee Gathering in the Bay Area — Co-building a New Coffee Industry Ecosystem," the expo brought together the national supply and marketing cooperative system, national industry associations, core coffee-producing regions of Yunnan, coffee industry associations from Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, as well as leading enterprises in the global supply chain.

The Shenzhen Coffee Industry Association was invited to attend. Zheng Jiaxin represented the association at the expo, exchanging industry development insights with counterparts in the Bay Area and showcasing the dynamic presence of Shenzhen's coffee industry.

At the opening ceremony, the "GBA Coffee Industry Development Convention Initiative" was officially released. Initiated by the GBA Coffee Industry Alliance, the initiative aims to advance the integrated development of the Bay Area, promoting the standardization, quality enhancement, and internationalization of the coffee industry.

On behalf of the Shenzhen Coffee Industry Association, Zheng Jiaxin jointly signed the convention with representatives from associations in Guangzhou, Dongguan, Foshan, Huizhou, Hong Kong, and Macao. This signing marks a new phase of deep integration for Shenzhen's coffee industry into the Bay Area's coordinated development, demonstrating the determination of Shenzhen coffee professionals to uphold industry standards and co-create a high-quality ecosystem.

Meanwhile, the Chia Tai (CP) CPRC Global Specialty Coffee Roasting Championship (Huizhou Station) kicked off concurrently, attracting numerous outstanding roasters from across the country to compete on the same stage.

A core highlight of the expo was the presentation of the Huizhou Base's robust secondary processing cluster and its supporting "Dual Warehouse" model. The base is currently building the largest coffee bean industry cluster in the Greater Bay Area. Leveraging the dual-warehouse linkage model of a "Public Bonded Warehouse + Green Bean Distribution Center," it aims to build a full-chain service system from source procurement to end consumption. The Public Bonded Warehouse has a capacity of 50,000 tons, allowing for deferred tariff and VAT payments to reduce capital occupation. The Green Bean Distribution Center, with a capacity of 30,000 tons, addresses the limitation of the bonded warehouse (which only allows bonded storage and not spot circulation), reducing customs clearance time to less than one day.

Furthermore, a high-standard roasting super factory, with a total investment of 500 million RMB and a total gross floor area of 100,000 square meters, has been established at the base. It gathers the tea and coffee beverage industry cluster, covering the entire deep-processing chain including coffee beans, ground coffee powder, drip bag coffee, cold brew coffee liquid, ready-to-drink (RTD) coffee, and freeze-dried coffee.

The Shenzhen Coffee Industry Association has long been dedicated to building a professional platform for government-enterprise communication, resource interconnectivity, and industrial empowerment. Participating in the first Bay Area Coffee Industry Expo is an important step for the association in leading member enterprises to "go global" and integrate into the Bay Area's industrial ecosystem.

In the future, the association will continue to act as a bridge. Leveraging the advantages of the Huizhou Bay Area Coffee Bean Industry Cluster and the "Dual Warehouse" model, it will help unlock the trade chain and reduce supply chain costs for member enterprises. Meanwhile, combining Shenzhen's robust strength in coffee equipment manufacturing and technological innovation, the association will work hand-in-hand with cities across the Bay Area to promote standard co-construction, resource sharing, and brand co-creation, allowing the rich aroma of Bay Area coffee to spread to an even broader global stage.
